IMPLANON CONTRACEPTIVE IMPANT

Implanon is a contraceptive implant, that is a matchstick device that is inserted in your arm. It works in the same way the contraceptive Pill or injection would do - to protect you from pregnancy.

I had this in my arm as the Injection didn't suit me as it gave me mood swings, and with the pill i kept forgetting to take them all the time.
Implanon works by releasing female-type hormone etonorgestrol into your bloodstream, and prevents your ovaries from producing eggs.

The procedure is done under
local anaesthetic, and you will feel little pain. Then it lasts you for 3 years till you have to have it changed again. You can barely feel it under your skin, and will soon forget about it.

Plus it is over 99% effective unlike other contraceptive methods.
I would recommend it, as you have no hassle or worries. You can just get on with life.

I personally have never been a fan of this form of contraceptive... each to their own - hence the various options!

Informative post though. I'm sure there are readers who will be looking into this further.
