We all need to get away every now and then, but where does the time go?You are either working or working through your holiday entitlement days. But we all need a break at some point.
There is a company called Save Our Summer Vacation that is trying to get a National Vacation Day as a bank holiday day for everyone, so they can take time out and spend time with their family and friends.
The proposed date will be for the 7th August, but of course you cant request these things and they will just happen like that.
So a petition is being drawn up called HomeAway Vacation Rentals campaign, where you and others can sign it to show your support for National Vacation Day to go ahead.
Not everyone can always afford a vacation, especially in today's economy so HomeAway have also created a competition to search for someone who is the most deserving of a vacation.
All you would have to do is explain why this should be you, or someone else even are the most deserving and you could win yourself a $10,000 week long break.
This can be done by text, photo, video entry or a bit of all of them!
There will also be runner up prizes for 2 other lucky winners for a $5,000 trip.
The competition will end 2nd July, 2009, so be sure to get over there asap.
If i won i would love to go abroad, as i haven't been for years. Somewhere really hot and Tropical like the Bahamas or Jamaica.
As well as the competition and petition that's going on at the moment, at the HomeAway site you can search for vacation rentals that will suit any budget.
