Elizabeth Barrow on her 100th birthday on 21st August98 year old USA Laura Lundquist is being charged with second degree murder, after she strangled her 100 year old nursing home room mate!
The deceased Elizabeth Barrow was found with a plastic bag over her head, but by the time staff arrived she was already dead.
Something tells me they wont be getting any new residents any time soon, after a murder has happened there.
A judge has sent Laura to a mental hospital for a competency Evaluation. It seems that she had made threatening remarks to Elizabeth previously, as she was jealous of the number of visitors she got. One of the remarks was that she was going to outlive her.
But the the nursing home officials said that Laura refused to change rooms, and they were both friendly to each other.
I'm not saying Laura should walk free as murder is murder no matter how old you are, and what mental and health state your in. But i think a life prison sentence would be pointless due to her age.
What do you think should be done with Laura Lundquist?
