IMPETIGO FACTS & INFORMATION

Impetigo is a skin infection that starts off as a rash, but then turns into yellow scabs or blisters.

It is itchy and is highly contagious.

They will usually appear on your face, neck hands and/or genital area for a child.

It is more common in children, but in rare cases it can affect adults too. I know this from personal experience unfortunately.

Impetigo is a bacteria infection that can be bought on if you have a skin condition already such as eczema, insect bites, poison ivy etc.

In my case i had a rash and a sore already that i accidentally scratched off, so be careful if you have these yourself!

Luckily you can get treatment for this by being prescribed special antibiotics and cream by your doctor.

It should then disappear within 3-7 days on using the medication.

In the meantime avoid skin contact with anyone or using the same towels etc whilst you are infected.

Alot of us use hankies as opposed to tissue, but if you think about it tissue is alot better.

With hankies, yes they save you money and you keep them on you, but if you use them more than once without washing them you will be spreading germs fast!

Remember the germs never go off the hankie, so next time you use it your spreading the germs from the previous time you used it.

Simple things like this will prevent colds instead of causing them!
At least with a tissue you can throw it away straight after!

Now all of a sudden a hankie isn't so appealing is it!?

BOYBAND BLUE REUNION

One of the UK's favourite former boy band Blue are due to get back together again, for a special appearance June 2009 at the Capital FM Summertime Ball.

This will be the first time they have performed as a group in 5 years, since their failed solo attempts.

I used to love Blue, and i hope this is an indication that they are getting back together properly to make some new songs, and it's not just a money making scheme.

INSOMNIA COOKIES

There has been alot of buzz in the press about Insomnia cookies.

PUSSYCAT DOLLS TO SPLIT?

There seem to be some rumours going around at the moment, that the pop group Pussycat Dolls have or are due to split.

The rumour came when their latest single Jai Ho said Pussycat Dolls featuring Nicole Scherzinger, which is rather weird considering she is a Pussycat Doll!

Another single due for released called Hush Hush has also be named in the same way.

If they are not splitting i can only think it's a way of promoting her and her name, as she is the lead singer, and the only one who does sing on the songs most of the time.

I hope it's not true because i love the Pussycat Dolls. I know Nicole tried to go solo before without much success, so this may be her way of doing it again but keeping the group name 'label' perhaps?
